Introducing our New Accompanist!

A bearded man sits at a grand piano, looking over his shoulder and smiling at the camera while playing music in a warmly lit room.
We extend a warm welcome to Jimmy Townsend, who will be accompanying the choir and congregation part-time on the keyboard. Jimmy will alternate Sundays with our current accompanist, Deb Bukala, and will also be playing for all the Holy Week services. Jimmy is a professional musician from Moorefield and is a pianist, composer and teacher. He was previously church musician and choir director for Moorefield Presbyterian Church.
As you know, we have been searching for an accompanist for quite some time, and now that we have finally found one, it also means an expense that we did not previously have. (We have indeed been fortunate that our previous accompanists have always donated all of their time – a wonderful but rare situation!) If you are in a position to add a few dollars to your weekly offering, or make a special donation towards this expense, it would be greatly appreciated!

Billy Juma Continues Studies at Seminary

Billy Juma, the seminarian in Kenya whom many of you have supported in his vocation, has shared with us the happy news that he has completed the Postulancy stage in his Formation and has been accepted to the Rosminian Novitiate Lushoto in Tanga, Tanzania and will start the Novitiate stage on March 28.
If you would like to support Billy in his studies, please make a check out to Our Lady of Grace and write “Billy Juma” on the memo line and put in marked box at back of the church.
